FAQ’s
Are Our Home Health Aides (HHA) Bonded and Insured?
Yes, all the employees are bonded and insured. We require a criminal background check, fingerprinting, a valid driver’s license, and proof of car insurance for employment.
What insurances do you accept and what are my payment options for remainder amounts that are not covered by the insurance?
We accept a variety of insurances; however, the main types of insurance that we deal with are Long Term Care, Auto, Workman’s Compensation, and Union. With that being said, AmeriStaff Nursing Services is always willing to look into coverage options for every individual. Remainder amounts can be paid in full at the time of service, or patients can choose a payment plan that meets their budget.
Why did my insurance only cover a portion of the services and not 100%?
Decisions are made daily on insurance policies that may effect how your claim is processed. Here at AmeriStaff Nursing Services and Sun Medical Equipment we do our very best in making sure that the insurance company has all the necessary documentation to process your claim. Unfortunately, we cannot account for deductibles and co-pays that might not be met at the time your claim gets processed. If you ever have any questions regarding billing we encourage you to give your insurance company a call first, then call us if you have any additional questions.
What is the cost of your services if my family is paying privately?
We offer private duty services ranging from companion care to certified nursing, all with flexible hours. Generally services cost about $80 per day; however, depending on needs and services provided we can create a personalized care plan for you and your loved one as well as, discuss payment options.
